Aarhus Information Center with the support and collaboration with local authority and private business, organized the following activity in 21.01.2015 at Himara Municipality to discuss about the importance and the usage of renewable energy.

The aim of this meeting was raising the public awareness of local actors, civil society and the group of interests for the issue of renewable energy and solar panels.

After the welcome speech from the representative of Himara Municipality the meeting continued with a presentation by Mr. Robert Murataj, the manager of Aarhus Information Center. He discussed about the present situation of the usage of renewable energy and the usage of solar panels, it’s importance for raising public awareness of local actors.

After that, about this issue began to disscuss Mr. Gianpiero Arturi, the representative of private business of production and the sales of solar panels. He talked about the importance of renewable and solars panels and presented the practice that his company realizes for this issue.

During the meeting it was developed an active discussion between the participants who gave their opinions for the issue of using renewable and it’s importance.

Renewable energy is that kind of energy that aimes to be cleaner and less harmful for the environment. In the recent days, people are working for this kind of energy by seeing it as a “ survivor” for the future of the planet.

In Albania the usage of this alternative energy  is still in the first steps and it is used mainly by private sector but although it has a great role and serves in this way a sustianable development.
