Llakatund - Shushice Administrative Unit/ Vlore Municipality

Within the project "Strengthening public participation through environmental awareness in the Municipality of Vlora" Information Center Aarhus Vlora, with the support of REC Albania (Regional Environmental Center), under the program ACHIEVE organized a training with representatives of public administration, Shuchiic - Municipality of Vlora for horizontal legislation. The meeting was attended by officials of Shushicë Administrative Unit  and heads of villages of this unit.
This was the first training for officials Administrative Unit Shushicë in the framework of a series of trainings that will continue in all administrative units of the Municipality of Vlora, to make it possible to refresh / recognition in practice legislation for the Evaluation of Environmental Impact or as otherwise called EIA kinds of businesses that qualify for environmental permits and the types of businesses and investments that have a legal obligation organizing public consultation before issuing an environmental permit from the relevant authorities.
The training was delievred by the  Director of Regional Directory for Environment of Vlora Region, Mr. Kreshnik Lilaj, who explained in detail the procedures to be followed to obtain permits and the organization of a public consultation.
Also the Head of the Centre Aarhus, Mr. Robert Murataj, explained the role played by information of public interest, ways of informing the public, the maturity of the responses for each request that comes near njëisë administrative and importance of public involvement, locals the drafting of plans, programs and annual budget to become not only more transparent and accountable local governance, but also to enhance mutual trust between citizens / residents and public administration.
The meeting was organized in the form of a discussion between village leaders who brought their experience in dealing with the community administrative unit or Vlora Municipality and Administrative Unit Shushicë officials.
