Roundtable with representatives of the Local Administration in the Municipality of Selenica

The Aarhus Vlora Information Center, in the framework of the project "Civic Activity for Good Governance in the Municipality of Selenica", supported by the IDM, organized on Thursday, 27 July 2017 at the Selenica Council Meeting Hall , A round table, with representatives of Selenica Municipality and other public institutions of Selenica Municipality.
The purpose of this round table was to discuss the findings of the survey conducted in the Municipality of Selenica with the residents of all Administrative Units regarding citizens' perception of public service delivery, level of corruption, gender equality, good governance and transparency of power local.

Collaboration between citizens / local people and local government on local issues, plans, programs and local strategies is a basic premise for sustainable development.
Recognizing the weaknesses of the Selenica Bashia performance by the residents themselves will serve as a basic premise to push for a constructive approach and increase the accountability, transparency and efficiency of public officials to provide better public services to the community of the area .
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Selenica, Neim Veshaj, representatives from the Municipal Units and other Local Institutions of the Municipality of Selenice.

The participants at the meeting praised the poll and free opinion of the citizens and acknowledged that more should be done to increase co-operation between officials and residents of the community, especially with regard to public consultations and direct meetings on important issues such as budget drafting Or local plans and public investments.
