This project was implemented by Vlore Aarhus Information Centre, now part of our NGO Change - Regional Development Agency.

Project: "Natural and Industrial Disaster Risk Reduction" implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Vlora and the Directorate of Fire Department of Vlora with the financial support of the OSCE Presence in Albania.

this project had the main purpose:

Organizing several public consultations with interest groups, citizens, representatives of civil society and local authorities;
Prepare an infor- mation package for citizens, students and interest groups for the prevention of natural rivers.
The project focused on all the administrative units of the Vlora Municipality in the foci, floods and floodplains.

In all Administrative Units were held meetings, public forums and trainings to enable the reduction of flood risk and fire prevention, and at the same time some high school trainings were conducted to respond quickly and efficiently in cases of fires and earthquakes .
