Every litter we throw in environment, gets back to us somehow!

1 million seabirds and 100,000 mammals die every year from plastic waste!

Volunteers of the Aarhus Information Center - South, committed today along the coastline in the new beach, to clean urban waste collected there as a result of marine winds. These residues are a result of our irresponsibility as citizens, as they are collected here at the new beach, but the origin of the waste is far from here, but also nearby. Each one of us, without thinking during the discard waste that we produce, outdoor, in streams in the forest, the river, on the side of the road, think of it this way nobody has seen that we have left territory where we live.
Indeed, these actions at all sleek and civil, against us put us in a form very harmful to our health. Any waste, whether plastic or other, turn us back into our bodies seriously endangering the health of each of us.
Prsh plastics, is very dangerous if thrown in nature as it enters so paevituesmë in the human food chain through, consumption by animals, birds, water and air.
But even if it will break again it turns us into our bodies as:
- If we burn the plastic releases potentially dangerous chemicals that damage the respiratory system;
- If condemn outdoor, rain takes him away from the river and leads to the stream of the river to the sea. Polyethylene and plastics containing bisphenol, and fish has very merry plastic. By consuming fish plastics, bisfenoli lodged in his tissues and when we consume fish, although we think is cool, we have deposited in our body a significant amount bisfenoli, a chemical too dangerous for many diseases that are prevalent today, including infertility;
- If buried in the ground, it emits toxic chemicals through water resources and agricultural products back to our body.
Therefore, it is imperative that citizens be aware of to be clear, that they themselves are contributing primarily to heavy damage to their health, but poison the environment, food, air and water by dumping waste in nature.
It is time that all together, in an organized, ranging from teachers, public officials and representatives of civil society, to coordinate the energies and coordinate actions to begin with awareness of all generations, from children to the garden, school and university to the residents, for the management of waste, promote recycling, promote composting and recycling of waste in order minizimizin of risks of epidemics and disease reduction and prevention of environmental degradation.
We thank the Municipality of Vlora, the school "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk" and  EMMAUS Vlora Organization that helped us today and deliver the message for raising public awareness to all community.
