The Organization: "Change - Regional Development Agency"  in cooperation with Milieukontakt Albania, is implementing the project "Implementing the Strategic Plan of the Visitors' Directory" with the support of UNDP Albania, a project that will be realized during March - December 2019.

In this context, in May 2019, with the coordination of the "Change - Regional Development Agency", the call for project proposals was announced in the commitment and realization of the local pilot projects, which will be implemented by the local organizations for the National Park Karaburun- Sazan.

Overall Purpose: To Improve the Effective Coverage of the Coastal and Marine Protected Areas Management

Pilot projects will aim at: Realization of the activities identified in the Strategic Plan of the Visitor Center such as:

Activities and activities for conservation and improvement of biodiversity in the Karaburun-Sazan national park;
Information and awareness of the various stakeholders on the extinction species of the area, but not only;
Various initiatives and activities of awareness and citizenship (cleaning, rehabilitation, etc.);
Various fairs, promoting the value of the natural resources of the area;
Various sports activities such as swimming and diving, sports competitions etc.
Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

The feasibility of the proposal and the technical approach. The quality and applicability of the sustainability aspect (eg the proposed technical approach as it can produce the intended results), the appropriateness of the proposed methodology, the innovation and the work plan for achieving the project's objectives to provide significant impact in the functionality of the Marine Protected Visitors Center. The technical approach should directly contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Visitor Center Strategic Plan.
Impact on target target. The extent to which the proposed activities correspond to the needs of the target target, or will stimulate direct or indirect replication of similar activities.
The thematic experience and capacity. Evidence of the ability to undertake and carry out the proposed activities and to positively strengthen the environmental sector in terms of biodiversity conservation / conservation and awareness / education. The proposal should demonstrate the organization's capabilities in terms of technical capacity and key personnel in meeting the objectives of the proposed project.
Visibility and sustainability. The tools and channels that will be used for communication and visibility of the project to the general public as well as the extent to which the project itself is sustainable or will stimulate sustainability in relation to the functionality of the Visitor Center.
Gender balance. The extent to which the funded activity includes a gender component or represents a strong commitment to women as beneficiaries.

Local organizations are encouraged to apply, which in the focus of their work have conservation and protection of natural resources and sustainable development of the environment.

The project funding limit will be 100,000 Lek per individual project from each organization.
